To The Rescue! festival benefitting shelter pets comes to Tampa next weekend

Another event for animal lovers.

Next weekend, another food and drink festival is making its way to Tampa Bay.

To The Rescue! is a food, wine, beer and spirit festival for animal lovers to eat, drink, and enjoy live music for a good cause on Saturday, November 2, from 6:30-10 p.m. at Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park. The event is set to benefit Rescue Cats of Florida, a nonprofit organization working in conjunction with PetsMart and local shelters to find loving homes for abandoned and homeless cats and dogs of all ages.

Tickets are $65 and allow attendees to get the "Willy Wonka experience" as the Dan, the organizer of To The Rescue!, told CL. Meaning all guests will get unlimited bites and sips from vendors throughout the event for nearly four hours. Scooting may be a poor decision after extended access to booze.

Vendors include Ciccio Cali, Fuzzy's Taco Shop, Yuengling, White Claw and 3 Daughters Brewing. Attendees can also snag a 'Great Wall of Alcohol' drawing for an additional $20, which grants the winner a massive prize made up of a collection of wines, beers and spirits from vendors present at the event.
