It's only episode three and we're already getting to witness one of my all-time favorite Quickfire challenges on Top Chef: the mise en place relay race! The All-Stars get to relive this fast-paced challenge all over again, but it looks like the ingredients have changed. From what I saw in the preview video, it looks like they're split into teams of two and have to prep lamb, 40 cloves garlic, something on a mandolin (potatoes?), and probably a few other items. One of the teams is going at a snail's pace during the challenge, so unless this ends up being anything like that tortoise and hare fable, I think we know who is going to lose.
For the Elimination, the chefs get the honor of cooking at four of New York's finest eateries (don't ask me which ones, because I wasn't told — maybe it's a secret). They'll be cooking in teams of two so, from the looks of the previews on TV that tout this episode as being a shocking elimination, I'm guessing that we may have a double elimination on our hands.
