Two Distinct Reactions

A Tasty Halloween Message

Honestly, I have no clue what's going on with Top Chef: Just Desserts tonight. The only preview videos that are up on Bravo's site don't reveal anything about tonight's challenges nor did the previews at the end of last week's episode. Well, besides the chefs frantically running around the kitchen and lots of sh*t talking — but that happens every week on this show.

Since I don't have much to go on challenge-wise, I decided to do some power rankings (thank you, whoever keeps up the Wiki page):

1. Morgan ("Don Draper") - 1 Quickfire and 3 Elimination wins

2. Yigit ("Yee-lee") - 2 Quickfire and 1 Elimination wins

3. Eric ("Zen Baker") - 2 Elimination wins

4. Danielle ("Putty Face") - 1 Quickfire and 1 Elimination win (though the Elimination was a group win)

5. Zac ("Glitterpants") - 2 Quickfire wins (and one was a group win)

Thoughts and predictions:

I definitely agree with the top two spots, Morgan and Yigit are fierce competition and I would be shocked if one of them didn't make it to the finale (though crazier upsets have happened, i.e.: Erika and Heather H. from this season and Shaft (Kenny) from the last season of TC). Unless Zac screws up horribly in the next few episodes, I think he has a big chance of making the Finale Trifecta.

While I love that Eric goes for the simpler techniques rather making everything over-the-top with a dash of glitter, I think his desserts may end up being too basic to get a spot in the top three. As for Danielle, she's the next to go home. It's not that she's not talented, it's just that there are four people left who are more talented than she is. I think she's just gotten lucky so far by not being the worst of the worst on the chopping block.

What are your thoughts? Who do you see making it to the finale?

Check out the preview videos below. The second video isn't really a preview, it's just Zac and his, um, interesting choice of a Halloween costume.
