We're down to six chef'testants on Top Chef Masters and the ridiculous challenges are not stopping any time soon.
The theme of the Quickfire is "legs" and the chefs have to cook a dish containing "leg proteins". Going along with the theme, the guest judge is Olympic Gold Medalist swimmer Jason Lezak. Because he uses his legs to swim — that's his qualification for judging this? *facepalm* And, seriously, they couldn't have gotten Michael Phelps instead? At least we know who he is. I'm sure Bravo doesn't care about his little incident involving another type of "herb".
Tailgating is the theme for the Elimination Challenge so that means they'll have to cook their dishes only using a grill while making sure guests are served at the same time. (Note to future Top Chef Masters contestants: You might want to do quite a bit of training in hands-on catering before you go on this show.) Rick Moonen thinks he's got this one in the bag, Waxman calls himself a professional griller, while Susur is just perplexed and asks, "How does it [tailgating] work?" I'm sure hilarity and drama will ensue in some form or fashion.
