Treasure Island's Coffee Grounds mixes cocktails and caffeine

Cocktail bar and cafe have come together inside the newly opened Coffee Grounds.

A new Treasure Island hangout is catering to both the coffee and cocktail crowds.

Last month, Coffee Grounds — part cocktail bar, part cafe — opened its doors in the former home of Beach Snoballs at 10927 Gulf Blvd. The two-in-one concept allows guests to order Kahwa coffee drinks as early as 7:30 a.m. daily, along with specialty cocktails till midnight.

Grab-and-go sandwiches and salads, teas, desserts and curbside coffee delivery (for those who call ahead) are available as well.

With a ribbon-cutting ceremony set for Oct. 28, Coffee Grounds will host its grand opening all day Oct. 29. The cafe and cocktail bar's official premiere will showcase $3 Bloody Marys and mimosas alongside Robby's Pancakes.
