Treasure Island's VIP Lounge & Mexican Restaurant tweaks breakfast schedule

The VIP Lounge & Mexican Restaurant has announced it will showcase breakfast in a different way next year. Rather than offer a Sundays-only menu of breakfast items from February to May, the indoor-outdoor Treasure Island landmark plans to serve the meal on one Sunday every month throughout 2019.

Here are the 12 dates that fans of VIP's Mexican-American fare need to know: Jan. 13, Feb. 17, March 24, April 14, May 19, June 9, July 14, Aug. 4, Sept. 8, Oct. 13, Nov. 17, and Dec. 15.

The restaurant will run breakfast service between 9 and 11 a.m. While the kitchen switches over for lunch, a limited chip and dip menu is also on hand from 11 to 11:30 a.m.

For their first chow-down sessions of the day, customers can choose from featured dishes like huevos rancheros and breakfast burritos. Returning favorites, including the fajita frittata and the breakfast pizza, are set to mingle with new selections, too.
