Two popular Tampa Bay breweries, Cigar City and Brew Bus, have partnered with the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation to create an IPA in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

The tangerine and passion fruit IPA is called “Rising Hope,” and 100% of the proceeds are being donated to the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation.

"Since 2017, we have partnered with Brew Bus Brewing for a beer that raises awareness and funds for the Pediatric Cancer Foundation," Justin Clark, chief operating officer of Cigar City told Fox 13 News

But the feels don’t stop there, the breweries are taking them a step further by sharing the initiative, and the recipe, with breweries around the country.

"We've made something that we think can be passed around to different breweries all across the country, and they can have a great recipe, change it a little to fit their system but still come out with a great product at the end," Clark explained, "and hopefully raise a lot of money for the Pediatric Cancer Foundation,”

Now breweries in over 20 states are brewing Rising Hope IPA and hoping to speed the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation’s mission to end the battle with childhood cancer.

"People don't realize that only 4% of the billions of dollars raised goes towards pediatric cancer research — 94% have defects,” Chris Geib with the National Pediatric Foundation told the news station.
