If you're gonna be around for the fandom fellowship that is Tampa Bay Comic Con, at least two food and drink destinations have weekend-long events planned for the occasion.

Tampa's Hidden Springs Ale Works and Yeoman's Cask & Lion are set to celebrate the annual comic book convention through drink specials, entertainment and giveaways. The Yeoman's Comic Con festivities begin at 7 p.m. Friday, while Hidden Springs kicks things off a little earlier at 3 p.m.

Performances from the Uke-A-Ladies and Marc With a C will lead into "48 hours of fandom" at Yeoman's. Giveaways like Maker Faire Orlando passes and more are in store from Friday to Sunday, too, as are $4 Rock Brothers drafts, $5 Patron shots and live art.

Patrons with Comic Con badges, passes, wristbands or costumes have the opportunity to score $3 Goose Island drafts, $4 Kingslayer shots (yes!), $5 The Dark Side cocktails, $6 Cowabunga burgers, $7 Hell's Kitchen Mules, and $8 Negan's mac 'n' cheese.

In Tampa Heights, Hidden Springs' three-day gathering — titled "ComiCon Weekend CosPlay Bash" — will offer folks who flash their Comic Con ticket, badge or wristband 20 percent off their tabs. Villains and heroes stopping into the craft brewery in full costume throughout the weekend will also receive their first beer free, in addition to the 20-percent-off deal.
