USF Tampa debuts first Publix store on a college campus

Kind of a big deal.

Doors of the first on-campus Publix store opened at Tampa's University of South Florida on Thursday, Dec. 6.

Kind of a big deal.

With 28,000 square feet of space, this new location for the Lakeland-based supermarket chain features the usual, from everyday essentials to Pub subs.

Indoor and outdoor seating, bike racks and free parking for nonstudents are among the other highlights.

The store is located at Fletcher Avenue and USF Palm Drive, a convenient home base for both students and faculty, but also neighboring residents.
