Exciting vegan things are happening in St. Pete thanks to two former Baum Avenue Market vendors: Lucy's Vegan Corner and Valhalla Bakery.
In the coming weeks, both vegan bangers — which have made it their mission to serve great vegan eats to locals — are set to launch in a new space located at 2462 Central Ave. in the Grand Central District.
In June it was announced that Valhalla Bakery (founded in Orlando, now with this forthcoming satellite location in the 'Burg) was leaving Baum Ave. with plans to launch a new location in September. The new anticipated opening date has been moved to "late November/ early December," according to the bakery's website, although Lucy's Instagram claims that their opening date is in December.
Valhalla will get back to offering vegan and dairy-free baked goods like cookies, cupcakes and even decadent wedding cakes, while Lucy's will be serve globally-inspired, plant-based cuisine.
Sounds like a one-stop-shop for our vegan and vegetarian population; or anyone trying to ditch dairy and cut down their meat intake.
More details to come when an official opening date is announced.
