Time flies when you’re having fun while also not treating animals like shit. Just ask Ybor City’s vegan/plant-based grocery store Black Radish Grocer.

The shop—located at 2329 N 12th St.—is one of the few places in historic East Ybor to get healthy and vegan groceries, and it celebrates its first anniversary this weekend.

To commemorate the big day, Black Radish is setting up a small Saturday market featuring vendors including Sly Dogs Vegan Hot Dogs, Butter Ceramics, Groovy Ghoulie Vintage, and Split Seam, a handcrafted bag and embroidered goods shop owned by cycling scene champ Kierstyn Breaux

Black Radish Grocer’s First Anniversary Party begins Saturday, May 1 at 4 p.m.-8 p.m. Normal business hours are Sunday 9 a.m.-6 p.m. and Monday-Saturday 9 a.m.-8 p.m. More information is on Facebook.
