The Vernisage restaurant, bar and event hall debuted to Largo diners on Saturday.

Largo has a new restaurant and bar, which doubles as an event hall, to frequent.

Saturday afternoon, Vernisage held its grand opening at 1156 Jasper Street. The cozy European restaurant, whose logo incorporates a Russian nesting doll, offered complimentary mimosas and snacks throughout the celebration.

Patrons will find a wide array of dishes on the regular Vernisage menu. There's Russian solyanka (a mixed meat soup with capers and olives), herring salad and blintzes with potato and onion, and everything from beef stroganoff to stuffed cabbage to Turkish-style eggplant with beef to as mains.

For dessert, assorted cakes, crêpes and pirozhki (featuring apple or farmer's cheese and raisins) showcase the restaurant's sweet side.
