Clearwater's Villa Bellini Restaurant & Lounge, the latest culinary project by chef-owner Ciro Mancini, opened its doors for dinner 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Keeping pace with the well-versed Mancini's past endeavors (he cooked at Dunedin's Bellini and Pensare Italian Bistro, and briefly at Casanova of Clearwater), Villa Bellini showcases "A Taste of Italy," according to its website.

For now, dinner will be offered Tuesday through Sunday. But come mid-October, the restaurant will serve lunch and introduce its Sunset Dinner Menu, available four days a week.

The Italian eatery at 2930 Gulf to Bay Blvd. used to house a Ceviche restaurant until it closed last year. Mancini's cuisine is paired with features like a happy hour from 4 to 6:30 Tuesday 'til Friday, live music and dancing.

Villa Bellini operates from 4 to 10 Tuesday through Thursday; 4 to 10:30 Friday and Saturday; and 4 to 9 Sunday.
