Every week in June, Green Bench Brewing Co. plans to bestow St. Petersburg with a new craft beer. On May 31, the EDGE District brewery — which has never done something like this before — kicked off its series of releases with Turbid 2, a New England-style IPA, in tall-boy four-packs.
Here's what else is up for grabs: A Florida-style IPA with guava in four-packs of tall boys — the brewery says the style is a first, and one of the many fruited, Florida-style IPAs Green Bench is set to release (June 9); Parallax, a dark sour aged in bourbon barrels with raspberries that sold out pretty quickly when it was first introduced (June 13); a Brett-fermented farmhouse ale called Sauvage Miel, brewed with honey and Mandarina Bavaria hops (June 20); and the bright yet earthy Plug and Play IPA, hopped with Galaxy and Citra (June 27).
In between releases on June 10, Green Bench also has another bottle share in store. Considering how well April's Bad Bench Bottle Share went — communications director Valerie Niager described the event, hosted in the brewery's production space with a $20 buy in, as "BONKERS!" — the upcoming share likely won't disappoint.
