On Prime Now, Amazon Restaurants has started offering takeout delivery to the Tampa area.

Add Amazon to the region's growing list of restaurant delivery services.

On the heels of UberEATS, Amazon Restaurants is now transporting food orders from nearly 50 local eateries to Tampa Amazon Prime members on Prime Now, a free delivery service that launched to the Bay area back in April. Those restaurants include Cook's Kitchen, Fountain Bistro, Carriage House, Taco Bus, Yeoman's Cask & Lion, Queen of Sheba and TamPiz.

While Prime Now offers one- or two-hour delivery for daily essentials (everything from eggs to electronics), Amazon Restaurants gets takeout to homes and workplaces in an hour or less. But a member's curated restaurant selection could depend on what zip code is entered.

The zip code of CL's Ybor City offices is 33605, which brings up 41 food spots to choose from. Zips like 33602 (downtown Tampa and Channelside) and 33611 (South Tampa), however, garner 39 and 32 restaurant results.

An Amazon Prime membership costs $99 per year, and restaurant delivery can be placed online or through the Prime Now app. Members, who are able to track their orders in real time, get $10 off their first orders of $20 or more.
