An open-air bazaar, wine tasting and two local farm gatherings — one involving DIY cheese and yogurt — to help kick off the new year.

Though typically associated with special occasions, bubbles are every day beverages. Sample six sparkling wines from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday during Winesmith's Bubbly II tasting in downtown St. Pete. $15 in advance, $20 the day of. 1620 Central Ave., St. Petersburg, 727-826-0791.

The St. Pete Indie Market, featuring 60-plus vendors, will set up at Green Bench Brewing Co. between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday with food trucks, coffee and craft beer, plus non-grub items like vintage, kids crafts and letterpress. At 1 p.m. Sunday in Tampa, Sweetwater Organic Community Farm's Easy Yogurt and Cheese Workshop will walk you through the steps of making yogurt, plus introduce you to similar method for creating traditional French white cheese. Participants will leave with a Mason jar of proto-yogurt and a cheesecloth of proto-"fromage blanc." $15. 6942 W. Comanche Ave., Tampa, 813-887-4066.

Limited to 20 seats, this monthly supper club at 6 p.m. Sunday — called Dinner Bell Supper Club: Farmhouse "Brinner" — takes place inside Geraldson Community Farm’s spectacular Bradenton barn. The meal, prepared by farm manager Christa Leonard and other guest chefs, will highlight local produce and dairy, fruits and meats from around the region.
