While eating around the region during Tampa Bay Restaurant Week (which runs through June 26), make these food and drink happenings part of your weekend.
Rev up for the weekend. St. Petersburg’s Blue Goose is set to highlight specialty cocktails and craft beer while guests check out Ronin Vintage’s Vintage Bike Night starting at 7:30 p.m. Friday. The lucky drinker who snags the PBR with the golden ticket (between 7:30 and 10) will walk away with a voucher for a free motorcycle endorsement class. From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, the Tampa Bay Taste of Asia Fest, hosted by Generation Food Truck at the Seminole Heights United Methodist Church, will feature more than 40 mobile kitchens serving up Asian-inspired grub. Crab and other kinds of seafood will take over Vinoy Park during the St. Pete Crab & Music Festival. Hosted from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, attendees will also jam out to genres like soul, jazz and funk from musicians like Lyfe Jennings and Shawn Brown. For more indulgent fun, plan on downing brews at Cajun Cafe on the Bayou. The Pinellas Park restaurant’s Sour, Berliner Weisse & Lambic Festival will return from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday with more than 100 craft beers. Palm City Brewing, Tangent Brewing, Brevard Ale Works, Point Ybel Brewing and Six Ten Brewing are among the participating breweries. Finish off the weekend by treating Dad to Pearl in the Grove’s Father's Day Cookout. In Dade City, the worth-the-drive dining spot will showcase a barbecue buffet, between 2 and 6 p.m. Sunday, with tastes such as smoked brisket, red curry pulled pork, duck fat potato salad and Guinness floats.
