Weekend Platter: Fun with fruit, St. Pete Bike 'n Eat and more

Add these five food and drink picks to your weekend itinerary alongside the Wine, Garden & Glamour Walk in South Tampa, Brandon's Bloomsday Whiskey Tasting, and Il Ritorno and Green Bench Brewing Co.'s beer-pairing feast in downtown St. Pete.

Grab a cold brew during Pinellas Ale Works' Grand Opening Weekend, kicking off at noon Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The fairly new, dog-friendly brewery, appropriately nicknamed PAW, will serve up guest taps in addition to its own suds. Guests will also unwind while jamming to live music and grabbing bites from vendors like St. Pete Taco Lady. Check out the three-day celebration's full schedule. Returning for its second year, the Keel & Curley Winery Peach Festival will offer U-pick peaches, blackberries and blueberries from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday on a first-come, first-served basis. Plus, food from local food trucks, craft vendors, live tunes and adult beverages in the form of peach cider, beer and chardonnay. The St. Pete Bike 'n Eat will allow riders to embark on a restaurant hop with complimentary samples at each stop. The event will launch from the Trek Bicycle Store at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, continuing to Fresh Kitchen, swah-rey, The Mill, 400 Beach Seafood & Tap House and Westshore Pizza. For more fruit-inspired fun, head to the Manatee Rare Fruit Council's Rare Fruit Tree Sale in Palmetto. Between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Sunday, shoppers will browse more than 25 vendors with tropical fruit trees around this indoor, air-conditioned sale; experts on growing these beauties will be in attendance to answer questions. Ybor City Wine Bar's yearly Spring Fling Wine Tasting Extravaganza, hosted 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, will bring 100-plus wines, food pairings, gourmet cheeses and desserts to the first floor of Centro Ybor.
