Weekend Platter: Tampa Seafood Feast, Dunedin beer brunch and more

Food and fun with beer, a seafood secret revealed and more take place this weekend.

It's been a helluva week. Here's how we suggest you spend the weekend (and Monday) with food and drink.

Brews and tunes at 3 Daughters Brewing in St. Petersburg will kickstart the weekend. Spend Friday sipping local pints in the taproom, or check out fun games inside the warehouse. The PJ Rick’s food truck will serve grub from 5 to 10 p.m.; starting at 8, NATL Act is set to provide the music. Free, money for beer and food. 222 22nd St. S., St. Petersburg, 727-495-6002.

The Tampa Seafood Feast, hosted by Fee’s Kitchen between 3:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday, will unveil “Tampa’s best-kept seafood secret.” Orders for $25 crab and $17 shrimp trays, featuring four homemade flavors to choose from, must be made before noon Friday — online or by text (number below). Seafood mac ‘n’ cheese and pineapple tea will also be offered. Flavs Barbecue will act as the feast’s pick-up location. 3503 E. Hillsborough Ave., Tampa, 407-274-4628.

Learn how to whip up a healthy spin on traditional pizza at a Nature’s Food Patch cooking class. From 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, the Clearwater market and café will demonstrate how to make a pie with cauliflower crust, the delicious foundation for gluten-free pizzas. Register in advance. ‪Save the date for The Dunedin Smokehouse’s Crooked Thumb Brewing Beer Brunch. This three-course, four-beer brunch will highlight craft brews from Safety Harbor's still-kinda-new Crooked Thumb Brewery and the barbecue joint’s fare. Reservations for the meal, which runs from 10:30 a.m. to noon Sunday, need to be made in advance. $35. 471 Main St., Dunedin, 727-726-2227.

Though not technically a weekend event, vegan wine lovers should listen up. ‪Downtown Tampa’s Bizou Brasserie will team up with Masciarelli Wine Company to throw a four-course, plant-based Vegan Wine Dinner during two seatings: one at 5:30 and another at 8 p.m. Monday. Guests will enjoy the best of Masciarelli's vegan wines alongside a special Bizou menu. Advanced reservations are required. $75. 601 N. Florida Ave., Tampa, 813-227-9555.
