A fresh installment of where to go and what to put in your belly this weekend.

Celebrate Oktoberfest at St. Petersburg’s Pinellas Ale Works. The two-day party kicks off at 3 p.m. Friday, and guests can expect special taps, food trucks, friendly competition and live tunes through Saturday. Jam out to Taylor Reed (Friday) and Tyler Constanzo (Saturday) while participating in a Masskrugstemmen, or beer steinholding, contest to earn a prize. Learn about G.M.O.s starting at 11 a.m. Saturday in Tampa. Whole Foods Market’s Non-GMO Tasting at its North Dale Mabry location will sample seasonal favorites and products with Non-GMO Project certification. For more fall fun with brews, get to the Escape from the Pumpkin Patch Release at noon Saturday. Trinity-based Escape Brewing Company will offer up the 2016 version of its Escape from the Pumpkin Patch Imperial Brown Ale. A tapping of the brewery’s 2015 imperial brown ale, which drinks can enjoy 4-ounce pours of, is set for 2 p.m. Free, money for beer. 9945 Trinity Blvd. #108, Trinity, 727-807-6092.

At 9:30 a.m. Sunday, say “namaste!” at Station House’s Rooftop Yoga and Brunch. The event will begin with outdoor yoga, followed by 10 percent off brunch items at the downtown St. Pete restaurant. Ending world hunger is the focus of the global movement that is World Food Day, which Tampa’s Wat Mongkolratanaram plans to celebrate. From 10 a.m. to noon Sunday, the Thai Temple Brunch aims to start a conversation about food, farming and hunger over a tasty Thai meal.
