Since Tuesday marks National Coffee Day, here's a few places to score a complimentary brew, plus another freebie later in the week.
KAHWA COFFEE United Way Suncoast and Kahwa Coffee have teamed up to give away coffee for a cause. With every Kahwa cafe participating, customers simply say "I live United" when ordering to collect one free small coffee.
United Way Suncoast focuses on early literacy, youth success and financial stability in DeSoto, Hillsborough, Pinellas and Sarasota counties.
“Good coffee speaks for itself, so we're looking beyond the roast this National Coffee Day to better our community,” says Kahwa co-owner Raphael Perrier.
Both organizations hope to not only spread the word about how people can help each other in the community, but to also promote a stronger Tampa Bay.
NATURE'S FOOD PATCH Throughout the holiday, head to the Nature's Food Patch juice bar in Clearwater for your free helping of organic, fair-trade java.
DUNKIN' DONUTS Caffeine junkies will receive complimentary medium dark roast coffees, hot or iced, at any participating Dunkin' Donuts location. The offer is limited to one cup per person, but Dunkin' will also provide new and current DD Perks members with another deal: a coupon for a free coffee or other beverage.
If patrons aren't Perks members, they may enroll online. Newbies be advised, though. Signing up for Perks on Coffee Day will result in four additional free coffees. The first coupon will be emailed upon enrollment, and the others will follow during the first three weeks of October.
WAWA With stores in Clearwater, Pinellas Park and more, Wawa will feature complimentary self-serve hot coffees up to 24 ounces during the holiday. The deal is limited to one per guest.
KRISPY KREME At participating U.S. Krispy Kremes, patrons will nab a free original glazed doughnut alongside a free 12-ounce coffee. The doughnut company's Bay area locations include St. Petersburg, Tampa and Brandon.
DOUGH Although South Tampa's Dough isn't handing out free coffee on the holiday, the sweets emporium will deliver complimentary fried confections while supplies last on Friday. Limited to one doughnut per person, the offer will celebrate Dough's two Best of the Bay wins.
