Where to spend Drinksgiving, aka Thanksgiving Eve, in Tampa Bay

This night is for the bars.

A running list of where to pregame for Turkey Day (yes, it's a thing) around the Bay area. On Drinksgiving — aka Thanksgiving Eve, which is said to be the year's biggest bar night — these destinations provide everything from gulps to grooves ahead of the holiday smorgasbord.

All events take place on Wednesday, Nov. 21, unless otherwise noted.

Arkane Aleworks Twenty-eight drafts are eligible for crowler fills, offered at $2 off. A few options include Like Cold Apple Pie (apple pie sour), Imaginary Butterflies (mango key lime pie sour) and Pieracy, It's a Crime (coconut cream pie sour). 3-10 p.m. 2480 E. The Bends You know the drill at this annual dance party with two DJs: hot apple cider and other holiday cocktails. No cover. 10 p.m.-3 a.m. 919 First Ave. N., St. Petersburg. 727-202-8931.

Blur Nah, the nightclub doesn't host its own turkey dinner. But it does want you to bust a move on Thanksgiving Eve. Three bars and DJ Freelance are the highlights. 7 p.m.-3 a.m. 325 Main St., Dunedin. 727-736-2587, blurdunedin.com.

Brew Bus Brewing Spend the night before you feast jumping from local dive bar to dive bar with Brew Bus's take on the Turkey Trot. Reservoir Bar, The Hub, Tiny Tap Tavern and American Legion Seminole Post 111 are the stops. Tickets are up online. $10 in advance, $20 day of. 7 p.m.-midnight. 4101 N. Bullfrog Creek Brewing Co. This brewery's inaugural Beer Bash just so happens to share a date with Drinksgiving. Hop on over. 7 p.m.-midnight. 3632 Lithia Pinecrest Road, Valrico. 813-703-8835, bullfrogcreekbrewing.com.

Caledonia Brewing The popular Pour Gingie (brewed with house-made, organic gingerbread molasses syrup) and new Liquid Christmas IPA (brewed with organic grain Chinook and Cascade hops, plus fresh Colorado spruce tips) get released. 12 p.m.-midnight. 587 Main St., Dunedin. 727-351-5105, caledoniabrewing.com.

Circles The best little tiki bar to flock to for abundant amounts of imbibing. Specials range from $1 lemon drops to $5 grouper bites to $3 single-liquor wells. Franklin Manor This is where Downtown Crawlers' yearly pub hop kicks off. Whether you're trying to escape your family members or spend more quality time with them, the bar-crawl-on-wheels transports you to and from each location. The Refinery Grab your homies and head to a Seminole Heights staple for Friendsgiving.
