After 27 weeks away, the Ybor City Saturday Market is officially returning on Sept. 12, ready to reacquaint itself with market goers who’ve missed the weekly eclectic mix of produce, plants, and craft booths in Centennial Park.
Since 2000, the outdoor market, located at 1901 19th St. in between Eighth and Ninth Avenues, has operated year-round, but COVID-19 threw a wrench in communal shopping. Luckily, now’s your chance to make up for the lost time and snag some one-of-a-kind gear, fresh fruit and some freshly rolled cigars.
The outdoor market is family and dog-friendly, just be sure everyone respects the roosters. A free parking lot is available on the other side of 19th Street, behind the former home of The Bunker. Paid parking is available in other nearby lots, and most of the on-street parking in the historic district is free for two-hours.
Hours for the market are 9 a.m.-1 p.m. every Saturday. Don’t forget to bring your mask and keep a safe distance from fellow shoppers.
