Here we go again. I am venturing to another new venue to see another DJ/producer I really like. This time it's the Amphitheater in Ybor for a set by Afrojack. Based on my trip to the Venue to see Steve Aoki a couple weeks ago, my fear is outweighing my excitement. I am praying it's not another night filled with douche baggery and annoying drunkenness. But I refuse to let the past corrupt my future. Besides, it's freaking Afrojack!!!
Nick van de Wall (aka Afrojack) has been a fan of music his whole life. He started playing piano at age five. However, growing up in the Netherlands, he was exposed to electronic music and deejaying. It wasn't long before his interest was sparked and the young musician started jumping from club to club, snagging DJ gigs where ever they would let him. Today, he's a Grammy award-winning music producer and DJ who's worked with artists like Snoop Dog, Ne-yo, Nayer, Ian Carey, and Eva Simons, among others. Oh, and he also has his own label, Wall Recordings. Busy bee!
