After playing a small Ybor City show at The Attic last winter, live-looper and self-professed purveyor of “island-infused drum n’ bass gospel ninja soul” Zach Deputy is moving to a bigger, more outdoor, venue this weekend. And he knows a thing or two about being outside with big crowds.
Deputy was in Washington D.C. on Jan. 6, and while he didn’t try to get Mike Pence to change his mind, he did end up deleting a pic of him in a MAGA hat at the rally. “I was there at the Capitol, but I am 100% against rioting against the police,” Deputy recently said in a video where he supported the debunked Big Lie that the election was rigged.
Surf-roots-reggae singer Mike Pinto and blues outfit Honey Hounds open the show. Not sure if there’s a workshop on becoming a poll worker before the show though.
