Charley Yang is getting tired of going under a TikTok pseudonym, so his latest album Burnout is billed as his last under the BoyWithUke moniker.

The 22-year-old cites his will to focus on other projects that wouldn’t fit under the old name in his eyes, and also the fact that he’s no longer the “boy with a ukulele” he once was.

It’s looking like this’ll be Tampa Bay’s only chance to see Yang’s once-LED-masked alter ego in action, since some of us still remember when he was supposed to play the side stage at 97X Next Big Thing in 2022, but canceled day-of due to illness.

Tickets  for BoyWithUke w/Ethan Bortnick happening at St. Petersburg’s Jannus Live on Friday, May 16 are still available and start at $30.
