A person with long blonde hair lies horizontally across a tufted, cream-colored chaise lounge. They are wearing an all-white suit and black high-heeled slingback shoes, with one leg bent upward resting on the back of the sofa. They are holding a violin and bow across their torso while looking directly at the camera. The background consists of a dark, textured brick wall and a grey concrete floor.Bronwyn Keith-Hynes

Bluegrass fans should know Bronwyn Keith-Hynes well.

The 33-year-old put her first vocal solo record out about two years ago and started piecing her band together in 2024 as she played Monday gigs at Nashville bluegrass dive Dee’s Country Cocktail Lounge. Keith-Hynes, a Berklee product who played fiddle in Molly Tuttle’s Golden Highway, steps to the front and stops playing reactively in her own unit that is part of the genre’s new school leaders who are rooted in tradition but see no boundaries for the classic American art form.

She plays what’s sure to be a barnburner alongside Travelin’ McCourys fiddler Jason Carter. Put on Aubrey Hainey’s 1997 classic Doin’ My Time, some Michael Cleveland, or Tim Crouch during your pre-game.

Tickets to see Bronwyn Keith-Hynes play Bayboro Brewing Co. in St. Petersburg on Friday, Feb. 6 are still available for $30.
