When singer-guitarist Jason Shevchuk emerged from the ashes of beloved Philly hardcore act Kid Dynamite as the frontman for None More Black in 2000, most fans expected another dose of blistering guitars, speed and melody. And they got it – albeit in more eclectic and adventurous form. In the time since, None More Black has continued to dabble outside the accepted boundaries of hardcore without ever completely leaving its roots behind, alternately satisfying and confounding loyal scenemongers not only with unpredictable music, but also with an equally erratic modus operandi that culminated in an open-ended hiatus shortly after releasing a critically lauded sophomore full-length, This Is Satire, in 2006.
