The night was hot and post-rainstorm muggy this past Friday, August 7 at New World Brewery, where an ever-swelling crowd of Bay area folks (270 paid) had stopped in to enjoy a double bill of quality local music — Poetry n’ Lotion (pictured at left, photo by Phil Bardi) and Nervous Turkey — and toast the man of the hour, scene stalwart and birthday boy Sean O’Brien.
Everyone seemed to be in generally good spirits and casually sipped brews and bobbed heads to the pre-show spins by DJ Minihorse, waiting with seeming patience for the live music to commence. (More pics by Bardi + video after the jump)
