Lane 8 continues the BayCare Sound‘s trend of hosting EDM artists.

The 35-year-old Denver-based producer born Daniel Goldstein cites the lessons he has learned from parenting his daughter as a key inspiration on his latest album, Childish. Most significant of those lessons is how sometimes, the best thing you can do as a parent (or any superior position in a kid’s life, really) is step back, drop your ego, and watch them gain confidence by just letting them do their own thing.

The event is promoted under Goldstein’s This Never Happened label and event series, where any photo of video recording is not allowed via phone or camera. Even disposable ones have to go in the Yondr pouches.

“I believe that without phones or cameras, we can create a more positive and engaging atmosphere for all fans. Experience the moment, don’t record it,” Goldstein wrote. “This Never Happened.”

Oh, and $1 from each ticket will go towards organizations that strive to bring “equity, access, and dignity for all.”

Tickets to see Lane 8 play The BayCare Sound in Clearwater on Saturday, April 12 are still available and start at $38.70.
