CL regularly presents focused listings of the best dining options in Tampa Bay. This week we're giving you a guide to live music venues that also serve some killer fare.
BEAK'S OLD FLORIDA 2451 Central Ave., St. Pete, 727-321-9100, beaksoldflorida.com. A favorite hangout spot for locals, this quirky restaurant and bar is filled with wall-to-wall kitsch and tacky Florida souvenirs. Labeling themselves as "upscale comfort food", the menu includes Southern and Floribbean-inspired selections. Enjoy their live music whether you're dining inside or outside on the spacious patio.
CAFE BOHEMIA 937 Central Ave., St. Pete, 727-895-4495. This isn't your usual hipster java joint. Besides the locally-roasted coffee and espresso drinks, Bohemia serves up some tasty sandwiches, soups and salads (try their Best of the Bay award-winning falafel). Check out their weekly lineup of live music and open mic nights.
CEVICHE 2930 Gulf To Bay Blvd., Clearwater, 727-799-3082; 10 Beach Dr SE, St. Pete, 727-209-2302; 1502 S Howard Ave., Tampa, 813-250-0203, cevichetapas.com. Ceviche's tapas and sangria is some of the best in the Bay and it's a well-known spot for a hot date. The live Flamenco shows in the Flamenco Bars heat things up even more and the incredibly talented Spanish guitarists transport are not to be missed.
DAVE'S AQUA LOUNGE 10820 Gandy Blvd., St. Pete, 727-576-1091, davesongandy.info. Just over the Gandy Bridge in St. Pete, Dave's has been a staple for live music in the area for over 45 years. A great place to party and the kitchen will be opening up again soon with a brand new menu.
DUNEDIN BREWERY 937 Douglas Ave., Dunedin, 736-0606, dunedinbrewery.com. Besides the great house-made craft brews on tap, the pub food menu consists of some killer burgers and fish tacos. Live bands perform on weekend nights to a packed house.
