Crowbar’s been one of the safe places to wade back into live music, and the Ybor City venue—located at 1812 N. 17th St.—is at it again this weekend when progressive rock band Discord Theory and pop-punk act Hollyglen (FFO will take the stage on Saturday, Nov.14

Doors open at 7 p.m. with set one at 8:30 p.m. followed by set two at 10 p.m.

For safety, the crowd will be capped at 100 guests and people are encouraged to buy tickets in advance. Temperatures will be checked at the door, and attendees should stay seated at their table or stand in one of the few socially distanced standing areas. Masks are required when guests aren’t seated.

The concert comes at a time when Florida just added 6,257 positive COVID-19 cases to the total, the highest single-day number since Aug. 15. After music venues shut down in the spring, many owners struggled to pay rent and feared they wouldn’t be able to stay open much longer without shows.

Crowbar reopened for shows in early October, and has been relying on mostly local acts to keep its doors open. Food will be for sale from This Little Pig and the event will be live streamed courtesy of Tampa Sessions.

Tickets cost $20 and can be purchased via Crowbar’s website.
