You can’t help but wonder if Judy Collins—who first listened to Joni Mitchell singing her “Both Sides Now” over the phone— knew the eventual recording would launch both of their names into countless American households.
UPDATE This show has been rescheduled for Sunday, Feb. 16. Tickets will be honored for the new date.
These days, the 85-year-old folk singer has songwriting on her mind, largely thanks to her late friend, Leonard Cohen asking her why she didn’t write her own songs very early on. There surely won’t be a shortage of tracks from her latest, all-originals album Spellbound, but you might also get to hear Collins quote a Facebook meme or two in between stories of her father during this annual stop at downtown Clearwater’s historic 750-seater.

Tickets to see Judy Collins play Bilheimer Capitol Theatre in Clearwater on Thursday, Jan. 9 are still available and start at $35.
