Next year’s farewell season at Ybor City’s Crowbar is looking pretty damn good already, because indie-pop singer-songwriter Landon Conrath announced a headlining tour this morning, with plans to return to the room in March.
The 26-year-old’s second studio album Employee of the Year is a few days away from its first birthday, but his latest triumph was dropping a new EP last month called Can I Win Just a Little Bit??? The primarily acoustic-based, four-tracks-plus-two-demos, project has a subplot centered around the side of depression that isn’t always spoken about, like the ever-growing pile of clothes on your bedroom floor and feeling less awake every time he wakes up. And not to mention a few lines that hit really hard such as “I don’t want help, but I beg for it.”
Conrath—who’s no stranger to Tampa Bay—will also be appearing at Los Angeles’ legendary Troubadour on this run of shows, so if history remains bound to repeat itself, he’s about to win more than just a little bit. His old indie friend Abby Holliday opens every date on the tour.
