When the dust settles on 2024, Katara’s full-length debut, These Days, will stand as one of the year’s best releases. The harp-and-drum duo plays support on Soft Cuff’s local album release in August, and the pairing is fitting.

Drummer Natalie Depergola and harpist Seth Adam Lynn represent the best of the next generation of Tampa musicians and their record is a culmination of six-year collaboration where the friends never step on each others toes in using a trove of instruments (bongos, shakers, vibra slap, chimes, tambourines, plus harp, bass, keys and more) to push the boundaries of what instrumental music can be.

Katara opens for Soft Cuff on Saturday, Aug. 17 at the VFW Post 39 in St. Petersburg, and tickets start at $12.
