A warm, interior portrait of rockabilly artist Shaun Young. They are sitting in a cozy room, smiling broadly at the camera while holding a vintage-style sunburst hollow-body electric guitar. They are wearing a black t-shirt and a classic tan fedora. Behind them to the right, a second acoustic guitar rests in a red armchair in front of a brick fireplace. The room is filled with musical instruments, including a piano and a wooden bookshelf, creating an intimate, home-studio atmosphere.

Shaun Young, vocalist and rhythm guitar for ‘90s-era Austin, Texas rockabilly trio High Noon brings a new band to Tampa’s 11th annual Rockabilly Battle Royale.

The get together is a full on revival of the storied American sound, and Young will be joined by bassist Lara Hope who is in a band with Hey Y’alls frontwomen Andrea Maddox, plus old-timey Rhode Island picker Jonny Safford and St. Pete’s own Hot Rod Hornets.

Tickets for Rockabilly Battle Royale Round 11 inside the music hall at New World Brewery in Tampa on Saturday, March 28 are still available for $20.
