Iggy Pop shows no signs of slowing down. At 68, the punk godfather isn't ready for a life of retirement and golf; instead the ex-Stooges frontman is ready to take on a new project, a new album and another tour that is making its way to Florida.

Teaming with Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme, Pop is about to release a brand new collaborative album (due out on March 18) titled Post Pop Depression. The LP is already getting loads of positive reviews and being regarded as another bold, brash chapter in the colorful and storied career of the charismatic Michigander. To commemorate the release, Pop, Homme and the full band that's been assembled to play on the record (QOTSA multi-instrumentalist Dean Fertita and Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders) are joining forces to embark on a short run of live dates throughout the U.S. and Europe, with the limited itinerary encompassing a stop at the Fillmore in Miami Beach on April 19, the only Southeastern date of the mini tour. The show promises to feature a hearty dose of selections from the forthcoming album as well as plenty of favorites from Pop's long and illustrious catalog.

Recently debuting tracks from the album on the late night talk show circuit, Pop and Homme are steadily building interest and excitement among their fanbases for this highly anticipated joint effort. As a preview, check out the brooding rocker, "Gardenia", from the new album below.

Iggy Pop plays The Fillmore Miami Beach (1700 Washington Ave.) Tue., April 19, at 9 p.m. Tickets are $105.50, $87.50 and $64.50 (reserved seating) and go on sale this Sat.y, Jan. 30, at 10 a.m. via LiveNation.com or by phone 800-745-3000, and at the Fillmore Box Office.
