The 25-year-old five-time Grammy Award winner spent her year making her debut at Carnegie Hall and traveling Europe, all while on the heels of her third album Portrait, an eight-tracker that showcases her twist on Great American Songbook selections and jazz standards. And if this show is anything like her local debut in downtown Clearwater last year, you’ll probably leave with hope for the next generation of the genre.

Joy’s band, as previously reported, features a host of alum from St. Petersburg’s Gibbs High School, including arranger and trumpeter Jason Charos, who is fresh off his own debut, Opening Statement.

Tickets to see Samara Joy play Ferguson Hall inside Tampa’s Straz Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, Feb. 14 are now on sale and start at $49.50.
