There's a hot bed of hip hop bubbling in Tampa Bay, and the scene's well of talent has not been resting in the slightest. Tampa emcee Gat$ recently released a new single, "No L's" and announced an expansive multimedia live experience set for October 29 in Ybor City.
The show — happening at Crowbar on October 29 — will celebrate a new concept album from Gat$, which will be available on November 1.
"It's totally narrative driven, yet still relatable to have stand alone songs," Gat$ told CL in a message. "'No L's' is primarily about the paranoia black men feel about mental health and is my take on the braggadocio angle most rappers take by proclaiming 'we'll take no losses'."
The track was produced by Santos and Swmmer, who've been a part of the rapper's last four projects. "[They] always provided a soundscape to explore a range of feelings," Gat$ added.
"My project releases November 1, and I will have a release party that day that may change to further accommodate people, but it will be an audio, visual, and literary experience of my art."
