Florida punk-rock fans have fond memories of Chris Farren stalking the Crowbar stage with his since-retired band Fake Problems, but the rest of the country spent 2016 falling in love with the Naples songwriter in the context of a solo LP, Can’t Die, where Farren blends gloom and pop for an effort that remains surprisingly upbeat.

A new legion of followers is set to fall under the spell this fall when Polyvinyl Records releases a forthcoming album Born Hot ,where Farren sicks his knack for writing sincere pop tunes on the big life-changing things that have happened in his life since Can’t Die hit the streets.
