Sheryl Crow, 100 Miles From Memphis (A&M)
In her seventh album, Crow adopts a vintage Memphis soul-inspired record and throws in several covers, including Citizen Cope's "Sideways" with the artist sitting in, and Terence Trent D'Arby's "Sign My Name" with guest singer Justin Timberlake.
Department Of Eagles, Archive 2003-2006 (American Dust)
An archival album featuring unreleased tracks by one of my favorite indie bands, the pre-Grizzly Bear project of Daniel Rossen and his NYU roommate, Fred Nicolaus. Anyone who's heard The Cold Nose and In Ear Park knows that alot changed in the band's sound from their first LP. This likely has some truly interesting (and bizarre) moments.
Film School, Fission (High-Speed Soul)
Frazey Ford, Obadiah (Nettwerk)
Francis and the Lights, It'll Be Better (Cantora)
Check out the video for "Darling, It's alright" after the jump.
