New Orleans sludge-metal favorite Crowbar is in Tampa on Saturday

One of these days, New Orleans-based sludge metal outfit will book a show at Tom DeGeorge’s room in Ybor City that shares its name.

But in the meantime, Crowbar brings its latest, 12th album “Zero And Below”—the first to feature bassist Shane Wesley as a full-time member—to Tampa Bay for a gig that will run just short of an hour, and to feature cuts going as far back as the band’s 30-year-old, sophomore eponymous album.

Tickets to see ​​ Crowbar, Primitive Man, Exit Strategy and Plague Spitter play Tampa Orpheum on Saturday, Sept. 8 are available for $89.
