Newark-based band The NewArkansans is in town for a free Friday night concert at Seminole Heights’ Ella’s Americana Folk Art Cafe. Vocalist Rosie Corcoran and Kelso Gin Whitney, on guitar and harmonica, make up a duo that says it plays “indie-folk and southern-rock soul that meets powerhouse British vocalities.”
The duo is a road band that’s already played gigs in Midtown, Davis Islands and in Land ‘O Lakes, so check out its Facebook page if you missed the show and want to check out any other possible local gigs.
Ella’s is still running its dining area at a lowered capacity, with a mask requirement, staying true to its Safe and Sound designation. Tampa isn’t running rogue yet, so please, still act like the pandemic is still happening, because it is.
