If you missed Ghost’s recent Tampa show, this Ybor City gig originally set for Friday, Oct. 14 was supposed to be something of a consolation.

Priest features two members of the band and plays dark, hook and melody laden synthwave. Priest is made up of three musicians, according to Loudwire: “Mercury is the vocalist; he was known as Water while the bassist in Ghost. Salt plays keyboards and was the keyboardist in Ghost known as Air. Sulfur is an additional keyboard player and programmer.”

Tampa’s own Cold Medicine was supposed to open the show at Crowbar, which is now postponed until next year, along with shows in New York and Mexico.

Priest cited slow visa processing, adding that, “The US working visas are approved but the queues to the embassies are long. We are heartbroken, but we know we will come and play for you as soon we get the visas in our leatherclad hands.”

No official makeup date has been announced.
