Record Store Day was meant to celebrate local indie retailers and keep them open. On Saturday, vinyl enthusiasts will squeeze into record shops across the area and scoop up a ton of limited edition records, enjoy giveaways and take in performances from local bands.
Bands that call the Bay area home would be grateful if you picked up some of the vinyl they've put on the shelves, too. With that in mind, CL compiled a list of 20 pieces to look out for on Record Store Day 2018. See the full list here, and listen to music from one of the selections below.
Merchandise — “Begging For Your Life"/"In The City Light” The Tampa art-rock band signed to famed indie label 4AD released 1,000 copies of this clear, 12-inch single previously only available on a split tour cassette with Thurston Moore project Chelsea Light Moving.
