Connor Kelly lives up to his band’s moniker. For one, he’s got a mop straight out of the ‘60s or ‘70-s. His voice, however, is harder to pin down.

The range on songs like “Distant Forest” makes him come off like some kind of classically-trained choir freak, while the grunge balladry on “Tube Socks” and pop sensibility on “Anywhere But Here” hint at a rock band that will pick its own destiny in the years to come.

Hot Tampa indie band Mak opens the show along with emergent St. Pete indie-rock band Soft Cuff (FFO: Khruangbin, Menahan Street Band and Badbadnotgood).

Tickets to see Connor Kelly and the Time Warp play Tampa’s Hooch and Hive on Saturday, Feb. 10 are still available for $12.
