The Bay area was set abuzz on Monday when AEG Live made a very special announcement about a fall tour that happened to be making its way down to the FLA and actually stopping in town, that of Iceland's dreamy-ambient post-rock melody makers Sigur Rós, which hits the USF Sun Dome in Tampa on Mon., Oct. 7, 2013. Tickets go on sale via Ticketmaster this Fri., June 14, at 10 a.m.

The core songwriting trio — multi-instrumentalists Jón Þór "Jónsi" Birgisson (lead vox, guitars, bowed guitar, keys, harmonica, bass, banjo), Georg "Goggi" Hólm (bass, glock, toy piano, keys, backing vox) and Orri Páll Dýrason (drums, percs, samples, keys) — have a whole new live show and an 11-piece live band to back them in support of a brand new seventh studio album, Kveikur, due out next Tues., June 18 via XL Recordings. Check out a preview of the tour after the jump, along with live video featuring the rather aggro title track off the forthcoming Sigur Rós LP…
