Seven virtuoso musicians, with composer and flutist Juan Parrilla, lead the Siudy Flamenco Company for an emotional dance performance and concert at downtown Tampa’s Ferguson Hall.

Siudy Garrido—a contemporary dancer and choreographer—is the star and namesake of a show that bills itself as “a humanist and feminist commentary on self-invention and self-determination.” To enter the Straz Center concertgoers must produce either a negative COVID-19 test (taken within 72-hours of the performance) or proof of vaccination. Masks are also required indoors, vaxxed or not.

Siudy Flamenco Company. Friday, Oct. 1, 8 p.m. $38.75 and up. Ferguson Hall at David A. Straz Center for the Performing Arts, Tampa. strazcenter.org
