Yesterday, Soapbox Soliloquy — the experimental/psychedelic rock project of multi-instrumental songstress Jasmine Deja (also of Veiny Hands and Selectric) — dropped a new video for the second single off Heady Stones, her forthcoming full-length and follow-up to last year's trippy-fresh Everybody Knows Nobody.

The cheekily-named "I Want Your Carcass" — completely produced and mixed by Deja in her bedroom Rhombus Window Studios and mastered by a friend in Tulsa — finds her laying droning multi-tracked vocal harmonies over a reverb-dosed stew of fuzzy surf-hued guitar riffs and more jangly strums, crashing and roiling rhythms and a sonic backwash of flotsam, splices and noise things. It's pointed garage-ooze headiness at its best, and the self-produced video that accompanies it features suitably eye-crossing visuals.

Heady Stones is due out May 7, 2016, via Blind Not Deaf Records, and will be available on tape, CD and via Spotify, iTunes and Amazon.com. The release party happens May 7 at The Bends in St. Petersburg, with The Deadborns and another TBA artist. Deja will perform as "The Soapbox Soliloquy Live Band Experience" with two artists who appear on Heady Stones: Gino Capone of Johnny Mile and the Kilometers, and accordion slinger/noisemaker Nick Boutwell. "I also got my old bandmates from Article 47, Steven and Paul Borkowski, who moved to Poland, to sing on a track that I've been playing in my solo set, that Steven actually wrote and we used to perform as Article 47," Deja explained in a recent correspondence about the LP. Full tracklist below, along with the audio for already-released swirly doo wop-tinged first single "Oxy Hannah," which you can download for free here.
