Last year, after Gasparilla Music Festival (GMF) wrapped, CL told readers that there was really only one review photo that mattered.

Here's another reminder that the downtown Tampa, nonprofit music festival (just like another local nonprofit fest, Clearwater Jazz Holiday) happens mostly so that music education can happen in Bay area schools.

From November 13-16, St. Petersburg College (SPC) is once again partnering with GMF's Gasparilla Music Foundation to support music and education in Pinellas County Schools through the community outreach program, Recycled Tunes.

Gently used instruments can be donated on November 13,14,15 and 16 at three SPC campuses listed below. The instruments will be refurbished by Recycled Tunes and then donated to Pinellas County Schools’ music programs so that a bunch of cute little kids can reap the emotional and academic benefits that come with learning a musical instrument.

The best part for kind-hearted souls ready to part with an instrument? All donors will receive a ticket to the 2019 Gasparilla Music Festival, which just revealed its strongest initial lineup ever.

Donations will happen on the aforementioned days in between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., except for Friday, November 16 when drop off cuts off at noon. Drop off locations are available in Clearwater, SPC's Gibbs campus and its Tarpon Springs campus, too.

Additional details are available below, and more questions can be directed towards Rosaria Pipitone who you can call at 727-314-4722.
